LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - It's been over four months since "Charmed" producer Brad Kern first voiced displeasure about his show not getting any respect from The WB. It seems like not much has changed. Kern is again complaining about the lack of promotion the witchy series receives compared to some of the network's other offerings, despite the fact that it gets better ratings than say "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

"[WB executives] are terrific to us," Kern told the New York Daily News. "But if I have a complaint, they don't promote us as much as I'd like them to. I don't know why we don't have the same visibility as the other shows, though we're as successful."

"Charmed," which follows the adventures of three sisters (Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano) who are witches, will return with brand new episodes this Thursday (April 19) at 9 p.m. The show is the first of five episodes to air over May sweeps until May 17 when the show's third season comes to a close.

The first new episode has each of the sisters being afflicted with one of the seven deadly sins. Milano's Phoebe, for example, will struggle with lust. It also marks the start of a story line about Phoebe's battle to save boyfriend Cole from the Dark Side, a plot line that will continue until the season finale.

Kern told the newspaper that he's preparing a finale that will leave the fans wanting more.

"We couldn't come up with a more shocking finale than we have," says Kern. "It will absolutely change their lives forever, and it will be one hell of a cliff-hanger."

The cliff-hanger could be especially maddening for fans if the show isn't picked up for another season. The WB has not yet made an official announcement on the show's future. However, Kern is confident the show will return, thanks to it being the second highest rated show in the network (after "7th Heaven").

"If they don't pick us up," he says, "who are they going to pick up?"
